About a month ago, Clutch, SPIN and I posted up in Kennedy Plaza with the WBRU truck and microphone and interviewed Providence residents about their love for 360. The outpouring of love and respect for 360 was incredible. We owe our success to you, our faithful listeners. Hit the skip for more pictures, and keep an eye out for us at an area near you!
While spinning at one of the City of Providence/Providence Recreation Department events, 360’s own DJ SPIN had to make sure his eyes weren’t deceiving him. The spit-and-image of Michael Jackson strolled into the party, and locked it down with his smooth moves. Part 2 of the video is after the jump. Props to Mark Fisher!
360’s host of In The Spirit The Original T.O. was backstage last Sunday at the 2010 CareFusion Newport Jazz Festival, and low and behold he spent time with jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Wynton Marsalis. If you’re from Providence, make SURE you watch the video of Herbie shouting out your hometown!
DJ Dizzy and DJ Clutch presented clarinetist Anat Cohen and her band this past Saturday at the 2010 Newport Jazz Festival. Anat and her band burned it up, playing for more than an hour and eliciting a very positive reaction from the crowd. Props to Carolyn and everyone who made this year’s Newport Jazz Festival possible!
DJ Dizzy and DJ SPIN were handing out 360 gear from the WBRU truck all day long during Emancipation Day– except when DJ SPIN had to be on-stage spinning, emceeing, and rapping.
Thanks to everyone who came out to Emancipation Day 2010. A special thanks to The Original T.O., DJ SPIN, MC Groove, and everyone behind the scenes at the Temple To Music in Roger Williams Park. There was great food, great music, and of course wonderful people. Same time, same place next year!
